(This article is taken from The Official Newsletter of the San Francisco Aquarium Society, Inc.) Wayne started his business, Wayne Discus Center, over 9 years ago. His first hatchery had about 40 tanks. After about two years, he expanded to about 80 tanks. He later expanded yet again to about 150 tanks and then moved to his present location, which houses over 300 tanks and has been in operation for more than 5 years. When Wayne first started, his goals were to develop a high fin, high body form of discus. His first successful morph was the Wayne Blue and now he has a full line of Discus with this form. His latest development is a Discus he has named Violet Reflection. This purplish blue Discus has the signature high fin/high body that Wayne is known for. The discus also sport very fine scales with high reflection, a trait that he has been improving. In recent years, he has also developed many forms of the Red Spotted discus and his latest projects include new varieties of Snake Skins, Pigeons and Goldens. Never Gave Up - Wayne Ng (This article is taken from the book of "Asian Discus", the author is Johnny Yip) Wayne Ng is one of the leading breeder in Hong Kong. He built up a very good reputation in Japan over the last six years. And his discus strain could best be described as pure and round-shaped. Of all his creations in the past, Wayne is very happy with the Sweet Temptation and Blue Knight. The Sweet Temptation has a very impressive orange-yellowish base color while the Blue Knight is exceptionally large in body size. Although, Wayne's reputation as a good breeder is confirmed, he is never satisfied with his work. He still visited breeders abroad and attend discus shows to learn about the latest developments. His desire to move forward is never ending and that is the spirit of Wayne Discus Centre. Award Winning Discus at the International Discus Championship!!!
